Alumni president's letter
Dear Alumni and Friends:
As the new president for the CALS Alumni & Friends Association, I look forward to another year of programming for CALS Alumni & Friends!
This spring we offered Vandal Dogs & Dialogue to alumni and gave them a chance to visit with prospective students. Students asked questions about life at college while alumni shared memories and learned more about future college students. We look for ward to adding another VD&D to the schedule for alumni in the Idaho Falls area next year—watch for more info.
If you’ll be in Moscow for a Vandal Football game this fall, look for the CALS Alumni Tailgating area in the Kibbie Dome parking lot. Before each home football game we’ll be serving up Vandal Dogs to alumni & students.
For our female alumnae, consider joining the CALS team for the St. Luke’s Women’s Fitness Celebration in September in Boise. We’ll have a social event for all ages (and genders) in the week prior to the walk, and then our female alumnae can join other women of all ages and athletic abilities as we
follow a 5K course through downtown Boise and end at Ann Morrison Park.
Please take time to send us your updates—via “snail mail” you can send in the form to College
of Agricultural and Life Sciences, University of Idaho, P.O. Box 442331, Moscow,
ID 83844-2331. If you prefer, you can submit a class note on-line at www.cals.uidaho.edu/classnotes/.
If you’re interested in volunteering or becoming a more active alumnus, drop us an e-mail at calsalumni@uidaho.edu.
We extend our condolences to the family of Ron Thaemert, a long-time CALS Alumni Board member. We greatly appreciate his time and presence on the board. He will be missed!
Sincerely,
Teresa Golis, President, Alumni & Friends Association
